Objects for daily life
A day does not go by without the presence of objects that we rely on. And while our lives become more digitized, there will always be a need for analog tools for the many parts of our day. We think these tools should be made of outstanding materials, enjoyable to touch and a pleasure to use. And maybe even put a smile on your face.
"The details are not the details. They make the design." -Charles Eames
When you purchased a BMW airhead many years ago, tucked under the seat in its' own little compartment, was a tool roll supplied by the manufacturer. There was an expectation that the owner of this magnificent german air cooled engineering would be handling most maintenance and basic repairs oneself. A bond can form when a human and their machine must learn about one another. And over time, you learn to listen better, be proactive in making adjustments before a problem arises, and get better overall at keeping things happily rolling along. I don't know of any motorcycles or autos that come with a full tool kit today.
That's why we include maintenance accessories when possible. We do our best to offer goods that can last a lifetime or two. But in order to get the most years of enjoyment possible, you need to give it a little love and attention. And you might get that feeling of a job well done when that thing you love so much...... looks even more beautiful because of your own two hands.
